Following the success of the 2023 expedition to St Kilda, we decided to go again in 2024!
Any expedition to St Kilda should be considered as an attempt to get to St Kilda and there always some nervousness about whether the weather would allow us to go. We did and we managed a good 3 days out at St Kilda riding our a weather front in village bay before retreating back to the mainland.
As ever, no trip to St Kilda is complete without setting foot on St Kilda itself and glorious weather arrived just in time for that.
Clasina is destined for a North Sea next year (2025) so we’ll give St Kilda a rest and plan to explore a different group of Atlantic islands instead (Scilly Isles). A place to revisit given there is so much still to explore; maybe 2026.
Thanks to Bob and the team
