Vectis Expeditions is planning to run two BSAC Underwater Surveyor Courses in the Solent Area :  One on  Thursday 20th and the other Friday August 21st.

Over the last couple of years Vectis Expeditions has been running diving expeditions in support of BSAC Operation Oyster and The Great Seagrass Survey.  At the same time  we have also been running pilots for the new BSAC Underwater Surveyor Course  (Underwater Surveyor – British Sub-Aqua Club (bsac.com).).

Now the course has been formally released,  Vectis Expeditions is planning to run one in August where we plan to dive to contribute to a number of projects (most likely BSAC Operation Oyster and Seawilding’s Great Seagrass Survey)..  Subject to tides and permits we also plan to dive ongoing scientific research sites.

The diving will be shallow- between 6-10m.  Single cylinders and a BCD should be fine.

Note that the IOW Festival kicks off at the same time so you might want to do the course and then head off to the Festival.
